Case Study Liquidity Hub

Developing a unified structured liquidity platform for time-boxed financial auctions and contract negotiations.

Liquidity Hub is Tangible's production platform for running structured liquidity events. It brings institutional buyers and sellers together in a controlled, time-boxed process, consolidating multiple clearing models into a single, cohesive engine.

Overview

Consolidating separate liquidity models into a single high-performance engine.

Before Liquidity Hub, running structured liquidity events and negotiation paths required navigating disjointed workflows or managing separate systems. We built Liquidity Hub to handle the full lifecycle of time-bound auctions in a unified, secure Web environment.

My focus was on building the end-to-end transactional workflows: listing creation, live bidding streams, interactive counter-offers during negotiations, and the automated generation of final PDF reports and electronic signature queues via DocuSign APIs.

Key Features & Architecture

  • End-to-end auction workflow: Manages the full cycle from listing, bidding, and negotiation (including counter-offers) through to closing, with clear status tracking and strict regulatory governance.
  • Multiple liquidity models, one platform: Consolidates two distinct liquidity approaches into one unified system, supporting different auction and clearing styles without separate codebases to maintain.
  • Operational controls & security: Implements role-based access controls (RBAC) along with enterprise authentication options designed to match client compliance requirements.
  • Automation & reliability: Sets up scheduled background processes to drive cycle timing, state transition automation, and routine tasks consistently across environments.
  • Documents & integrations: Integrates automated document generation (e.g., PDF auction reports) and secure electronic signing and storage for transaction paperwork using DocuSign.

Operational Value

By integrating automated document compilation and electronic signatures directly into the closing state of the transaction cycles, Liquidity Hub cuts down average event finalization times. Scheduled automation workers powered by Redis ensure state changes happen precisely on time, ensuring fair, strict, and compliant market behavior for all participants.
